I write about film, fashion, girls, various forms of nostalgia, stuff that’s almost (but not quite) cheesy, etc. I live in New York and have a BA in Cinema Studies and Literature from SUNY Purchase and a MS in Library Science from Pratt. I write the “Costume Party” column for Brooklyn Magazine‘s website and regularly review films for The Village Voice. My writing can also be found in Playboy, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Sight & Sound, and other places. An anagram of my name is Babe Be Nerdy, and my favorite colored pencil is Hollywood Cerise.
